The AJS is pleased to announce that the Sheraton Centre Toronto, located at 123 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario, has extended the AJS a rate of $139.00 CAD per room, single and double occupancy, with a limited number of rooms for students at $129.00 CAD. The USD price will depend upon the exchange rate at the time of the conference. You may still secure this rate, based on hotel availability. II. Flying to Toronto
Discounted Airfare on Air Canada
The AJS has designated Air Canada as the official airline of the Association for Jewish Studies 39th Annual Conference. As the official airline, Air Canada will provide AJS members a 10% discount off all round-trip fares to Toronto. To be eligible, travel must take place between December 13 and December 21, 2007; passengers must be purchasing fares at the Tango Plus, Latitude, or Executive Class levels; tickets must be purchased on aircanada.com, either by yourself or your travel agent; and you must enter the promotion code 2HYGGFM1 at the time of purchase.

III. Transportation
Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport is located about 20 miles from the conference site.
There are GO Transit and VIA Rail stations in close proximity to the hotel. Please contact either the hotel or these companies directly for detailed travel information.
Getting to and from the airport

Shuttle Service: Pacific Western's Airport Express provides ground transportation service from the airport to downtown hotels, including the Sheraton Centre. The one-way fare is $14.80 CAD per person; the round trip fare is $25.50 CAD per person if you make reservations online. Click here for more information about Toronto Airport Express.
Taxicabs: The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) has a taxi service that serves the Sheraton Centre. The one-way fare to the hotel is $46 CAD. Click here for more information about cab service.

Parking is available at the hotel at the rate of $33 CAD per day.

Getting around Toronto
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is a quick and convenient way to get around Toronto. The subway system is linked with buses and streetcars to get you around Toronto on one fare, provided it's a one-way trip with no stopovers. You can travel on the TTC every day.
