Program Description:
The Jewish Studies and World Affairs program at Kean University is designed to stimulate inquiry into the Jewish cultural interaction with the larger world. Twenty-seven resident faculty members, representing 12 disciplines, offer 12 core courses and 14 electives for undergraduate credit and six courses for graduate credit. The JS program also organizes an annual lecture/artists series and faculty lectures in the community. It collaborates with the master\'s degree program in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, the Holocaust Resource Center, and the Human Rights Institute, and promotes the university\'s Hillel Soref Initiative for Emerging Campuses.
